Seasonal Position - Shipping - Hale Groves

POSITION TITLE: Shipping

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor

Summary/Objective

Takes parcels from conveyor system and loads onto pallets or trailers. Assures that packages are properly stacked to avoid damage, sorted correctly and correctly prepared for shipping.

Essential Functions

• Monitors destination of parcels to ensure accurate sortation and prompt delivery

Day to Day Activities

• Load parcels onto pallets or trailers from conveyor system using the proper stacking pattern

Other

• General housekeeping in work area
• Any other duties assigned

Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Experience in shipping preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Standing / Walking (continuously up to 12 hours)
• Lifting up to 50 lbs (frequently)
• Grasping / handling materials (continuously up to 12 hours)
• Bending (frequently)
• Reaching
• Pushing up to 50 lbs (frequently)
• Carrying products / materials
