Job Description
- Report any safety issue or accidents. Operate equipment safely at all times.
- Perform PSA (Pre-Startup Approval) at start of all new jobs (mold and color changes) and in process inspections.
- Confirm product quality by setting and maintaining process variables and verifying established process parameters
- Diagnose and resolve machine and processing issues to ensure products meet specifications and requirements
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
- Continuously improve efficiency by reducing scrap and improvise on methods and procedures
- Set up product inspection systems at start of every job
- Monitor inspection systems daily, analyzing rejects and administer corrective actions
- Cross train on all processes such as injection and extrusion blow molding and compression blow forming
- Keep machines and equipment clean at all times
- Maintain logbooks, documenting issues throughout shift
- Verify and report total output and scrap at end of shift
- Maintain batch records
- Participate in group meetings for continuous process improvement
- Supervise all packers and utilities
- Assist in Mold Changeovers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
- Physical fitness – Physically fit, Ability to stand for entire shift and ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds
- Administrative skills – Documentation of all record needed paperwork
- Communication skills – Written and verbal communication to update relevant documentation and share needed information with manager, peers and all team members
- Multi-tasking – Analyze and prioritize projects and have the ability to respond to instructions and follow through independently
- Quality – Must be able to detect visual bottle defects in a timely manner
- Measurements – Must possess the ability to use measuring equipment such as scales, and calipers
- Mechanically Inclined – Must be able to use basic tools like wrenches, Screwdrivers, Hammers etc
