Full Job Description
Technical Systems is hiring an Alarm Technician to service our clients throughout the region. Our demand is rapidly growing, and we are looking for amazing people to join our team. This opportunity has tremendous potential for rapid growth within the company for the right individual. Our ideal candidate has experience with alarm and CCTV installation and has some professional experience working with low voltage electronics. Field Service Technicians are responsible for installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems including access control, audio/video, cctv, intrusion detection, intercom, and other alarm systems. Excellent technical, customer service, communication, and time management skills are necessary for success in this position. Field Service Technicians must have professional presence and ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers and colleagues.
WHAT WE DO
We design, install and service Intrusion / CCTV / Card Access systems for commercial businesses throughout the Northern and Central California regions. We are contracted with very well-recognized companies such as Securitas, Universal Atlantic Systems, Kastle, and others. We specialize in:
- Intrusion / Burglary Systems
- Card Access Control Systems
- CCTV Systems (installation and programming)
- Verifies system performance, maintains accurate records, and builds customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions
- Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns, answering questions, and building long-term relationships
- Plans security system installations by surveying and evaluating location by identifying alarm installation requirements while laying-out equipment and wiring plans
- Verifies security/access/CCTV systems functioning by testing equipment, connections, and signals, identifying and correcting problems
- Maintains records by documenting installation and service
- Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices, keeping security information confidential
Requirements and Qualifications
- Basic computer and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience with DMP, Hikvision, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.
- A clean criminal background and motor vehicle record
- Installation Technician, Service Technician, or equivalent experience in the security or fire alarm industry
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Comfortable using small hand tools and power tools.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Physical demands include:
- Finger and wrist dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Heavy physical effort.
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
- Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts and roof tops utilizing proper fall protection.
- Carrying loads up and down stairs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
