Description:

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

• Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and other policy manual.
• Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files VETS-100, EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, temporary employees.
• Responsible for New Employee Orientations.
• Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
• Maintains company organization charts and other directory.
• Responsible for census, accrual, and other reporting needs.
• Develop HR vendor relationship and evaluation of effectiveness.
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performmed.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Work collaboratively with various staff members to ascertain needs and organize work functions to meet those needs.
• Assist the Human Resources team with various projects.
• Other duties as required.


Experience and Knowledge/Skills

 

• BA or BA in Human Resources preferred
• At least 2 years experience in a Human Resource Representative, Administrator or Coordinator role
• Strong understanding of human resources policies, procedures, and benefits preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated ability to learn and work within new systems independently
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
• Demonstrated project management competencies, and has developed strong working relationships with staff and senior leadership
• Ability to work on variety of projects and attend concurrently to multiple deadlines required. High attention to detail required.
• Ability to motivate others to meet standards and goals by leading through example.
• Strong analytical experience, including budget development.
